Also building

The rest of the workshop.

Fledgeling is the suite I build in the open. These are the other tools I’ve built along the way, mostly to scratch a real itch of my own: a Mac that runs cool, AI accounts that never hit a wall, an honest coding benchmark, and a place to ship product.

Roost

macOS · menu bar

Your Mac's quiet watchdog for runaway apps and browser tabs. It watches the heavy processes, asks an AI you already pay for whether each one is a real problem or just normal work, then closes it or checks with you first. Either way it tells you, in plain English, what the culprit was doing.

Perch

Dev tool · Claude

Run several Claude accounts across your projects without ever hitting a usage wall. A local daemon routes every claude through the right account, switches before a limit lands, reserves headroom for whoever's sharing, and fails over to another model when they're all spent. The session just keeps going.

Benchwarmer

Benchmark · AI coding

Know which AI actually builds your software best. A private, re-runnable benchmark that scores the leading coding models on real production work, under your own subscriptions, and reports how long each took, what it cost, and how reliably it shipped. A leaderboard built on the work you actually do.

Motif

Platform · operator

A local-first operating system for a small software company. The operator side, running the business: the vault, the drive, the inbox, the wiki and the specs, connected and yours. The warm room of the same building.

Motif Studio

Studio · build loop

The build side. Point it at a real React codebase and it keeps the three things that always drift apart, the plan, the design system and the shipping code, in one continuous loop: Plan, Prototype, Make.
